The Khepera Swarm Robot Evolve

The Georgia Robotics and Intelligent Systems created the Khepera Swarm Robot which are actually part of grad student Edward Macdonald’s Masters thesis The robots have self organizing behaviors in other words a group of 4 bots and 1 leader can form a line behind the leader, without being told what their place should be in the line. When they were first introduced to the world, we saw them form the word GRITS (Georgia Robotics and Intelligent Systems). The group of adorable little bots have now evolved to be able to form a square platform that a robotic helicopter can land on.
